Future Hall of Famer John Smoltz faces Asheville

Asheville- The great Atlanta Braves pitcher, John Smoltz, who is rehabbing from a shoulder injury faced the Asheville Tourists last Thursday in Rome Georgia. He threw two shutout innings of baseball, though in the end our Tourists came out victorious. Smoltz is set to return to the big leagues today.
Smoltz is a former Cy Young Award winner and the second pitcher ever to have a season with 20 wins and 50 saves.
