We live in the city and have a very busy schedule – I have never felt this relaxed before, just from hanging around the cabin on the porch and in the hot tub! P.S. Whoever does your cleaning is a master.

This weekend was a special celebration for my husband’s return from Afghanistan and our 8th Anniversary. We look forward to visiting again and bringing our grandson.

The Bear Lake Lodge could not have been more perfect for our little family reunion . . . two of our party made use of the hot tub, four of us used the paddle boats, and all of us are still debating who the real champion is in our air hockey matches. The cabin was spotless when we arrived . . . everything clean - ready and comfortable. When we each entered the cabin . . . our mouths opened in awe. It was a "WOW" moment . . . perfect! It really felt like "home" away from home. And - thank you for the convenience of having the Biltmore tickets waiting for us . . . five of us had a tour of the estate on segways . . . a first for all of us! We will cherish that memory for a long time. Again, a big thanks for your patience and all your efforts in making our reunion successful.

What did we enjoy most about our vacation? So many things – we love the privacy of the cabin while being close to amenities in Saluda, Asheville, etc. The Bear Chalet was perfect for our family – just the right size and had everything we needed. Having access to the lake was wonderful! Despite all the cabins being occupied, it always feels like its our own private space! Staff are incredibly welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Making reservations is easy and efficient. Seeing Danielle and Craig on the property gives the place a friendly feel. Craig was especially helpful, giving us ideas for things to do and info about the area. We loved our time here and hope to come back again and again.

We were so relaxed. The weather was normal (we’re from FL) – it wasn’t so hot or humid with cooler nights. The cabin was very comfortable, nicely convenient to Biltmore etc. Not too rustic – just right – just secluded enough to be relaxed.
